Get to know the members of our education team before your first workshop. All our team members are professionally trained, very knowledgeable, and eager to answer any questions or concerns you may have about personal finances so don't hesitate to ask.
Anita Moore - British Columbia
Anita is a Financial Educator for the Credit Counselling Society in BC. Anita joined the Credit Counselling Society as a Credit Counsellor in 2005 and joined the Education Department January of 2019. Anita has worked in the financial industry for over two decades, and to this position she brings extensive knowledge, facilitation experience and a keen ability to build lasting relationships. In addition Anita has a wealth of financial knowledge which is well supported by her positive attitude and strength in building connections and establishing relationships with employers and financial institutions, as well as in facilitating workshops. In addition to her work experience, Anita has completed many courses including Accredited Financial Credit Counsellor, Registered Qualified Insolvency Counsellor, Investment Funds in Canada, and Certified Educator in Personal Finance. Sheilagh Cahill - British Columbia
As a Financial Educator with the Credit Counselling Society (CCS) in BC, Sheilagh helps increase financial literacy for the financial sector (banks & credit unions), community organizations, employers and unions throughout the province. She enjoys building partnerships and likes expanding awareness about the workshops, programs, and services offered by CCS. Sheilagh has over 10 years’ experience in business development, project management, and producing television. She earned a Certificate in Entertainment Administration from the University of BC and a Diploma in Business Management from Capilano University. Manraj Waraich - Edmonton & Northern Alberta
Manraj is the Credit Counselling Society’s Financial Educator for Edmonton. She has over 7 years of experience in community work including 3 years with the Credit Counselling Society. She completed her Bachelor of Commerce degree through the University of Alberta’s School of Business. She completed her Certified Educator in Personal Finance Designation in August 2017. Manraj is passionate about inspiring others to better themselves and reach their full potential. She enjoys building connections throughout the community while making a meaningful impact. Mark Kalinowski - Calgary & Southern Alberta
Mark is our Financial Educator in Southern Alberta. Prior to moving into this role, Mark spent 5 years helping individuals find solutions to their money problems as an Accredited Credit Counsellor. Having also worked for two banks, he offers practical advice and real life examples. In addition to his work experience, he has completed many financial courses including the Life Licensing Exam, Insolvency Counsellor Qualifying Course, Canadian Securities, and Investment Funds in Canada Course. Tim St. Vincent - Manitoba & Saskatchewan
Tim is our Financial Educator for Manitoba and Saskatchewan and is based out of Winnipeg. He has obtained his CEPF (Certified Educator in Personal Finance) designation and has over 20 years combined experience in Financial Services, Customer Service and Training. Tim is a retired Certified Financial Planner (CFP), has also completed the Canadian Securities Course (Hons.), and has his Certificate In Management (CIM) through the University of Manitoba. Anne Arbour - Greater Toronto Area
Anne is the Credit Counselling Society’s Financial Educator for the Greater Toronto Area. Anne brings over 25 years of experience in financial services and facilitation to this role, along with a passion to promote financial literacy in her community and to building strong working relationships and partnerships. Anne holds an MBA from York University - Schulich School of Business, and is a Certified Educator in Personal Finance (CEPF). Email Anne
Gary Rusyn - Ottawa
Gary is the Credit Counselling Society’s Financial Educator for Ottawa. He has over 10 years of experience in the financial industry, as well as teaching high school in Montreal. Gary is also fluently bilingual in English and French. Gary is a Certified Educator in Personal Finance. Email Gary

Amanda Martin - Hamilton & London
Amanda Martin is the Financial Educator for the Hamilton and surrounding area. She has over 7 years’ experience in the financial services industry and over a decade working in counselling and fundraising for non-profit organizations. Catherine Lopez - Online Webinars (Workshops)
Catherine is a BC based Financial Educator with the Credit Counselling Society and has been with the organization since 2014. During this time, she has facilitated over 100 financial literacy workshops and webinars for a variety of businesses and organizations. Catherine strongly believes in CCS’ mission statement, "We Help, We Educate, We Give Hope" and is passionate about developing meaningful relationships with those in her community. She has over 10 years of experience in customer service, training, and management. She also completed her Bachelor of Arts degree and Post Baccalaureate Diploma in Counselling & Human Development through Simon Fraser University. Email Catherine.
Stacy Yanchuk Oleksy - Director of Education & Community Awareness
Stacy is the Director of Education and Community Awareness at the Credit Counselling Society. She has a Master’s degree in Family Ecology, is a certified Coach and a Certified Educator in Personal Finance. Stacy is a passionate and dynamic speaker and facilitator and has over 15 years’ experience in program development, adult education and leadership. She has presented at various conferences and has served on expert panels at the Pension & Benefits Summit, University of British Columbia and Carleton University. She has published articles in Canadian Living, Vanier Institute for the Family, My Money Coach, and Amik, and has been interviewed by CBC Radio, Global National, and the Toronto Star. Stacy has co-written two workbooks – "Making Cent$ of Money" and "Money Management Basics – 7 Steps That Will Help You Build a Budget That Works," and has developed personal finance curriculum for various workshops and webinars.
