We’ve been offering non profit consumer credit counselling for well over 20 years. We often end up helping close to 95% of people who get in touch with us without ever having to charge them a penny. People only choose to pay for our help if they decide to go on our Debt Management Program. Lots of people see this program as a form of credit card consolidation because it consolidates each one of someone’s credit card payments into a single monthly payment that you can afford. The program either eliminates all credit card interest rates or drastically reduces them. Although this is a valuable program that eliminates debt, allows someone to re-establish their credit, protects their privacy, and gets their finances back in order as fast as possible, this is just one of a number of ways that we are able to help people.
We firmly believe that the best debt consolidation and debt help is something that allows an individual or couple to accomplish their financial goals in the long-run while getting their finances back on track as fast as possible in the short-term. It's disappointing that this perspective is at odds with how some commission driven credit consultants, financial counselors, debt advisors, and credit advisors who are out there choose to operate.
